In a video posted on the PlayStation blog, Jaffe confirms that the first run of Twisted Metal on PS3, aka the first series of discs of the game that will go on sale when it’s released, will have a voucher for a digital copy of Twisted Metal Black. Now, after the game was delayed from its fall 2011 release to February, 2012, with Eat, Sleep, Play and Sony saying that more time was needed to make Twisted Metal a game that honors the long-running series, a big piece of news has just been announced by the game’s designer, David Jaffe.

David Jaffe, the co-founder and creative director of Eat, Sleep, Play, the studio that’s currently developing Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3, has confirmed that the first production run of the upcoming destruction racing title will include a very special voucher for a digital download of Twisted Metal Black, the popular iteration of the series that appeared for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001.
